Synchronoss expands DXP to enable Amazon consumer services

Synchronoss, a cloud, messaging and internet of things solutions provider, has enhanced its digital experience platform (DXP) enabling mobile operators to offer Amazon consumer services to their customers.

“Teaming up with Amazon will facilitate dynamic customer journeys for mobile subscribers to access Amazon services through a payment relationship with their local operator,” said Glenn Lurie, president and CEO, Synchronoss. “These types of high-value service and content partnerships will be critical in helping operators improve customer engagement as we look to help them overcome complexity and generate additional revenue, and for customers it gives them the option to access services with a credit card or as added value in their plans.”

Synchronoss DXP is a low-code platform that reduces time-to-market and simplifies IT delivery for any organisation looking to transform and optimise its digital customer experience and journeys. Using the DXP tools, companies can create, configure and manage all types of transactions across omni-channel environments, giving them the ability to share real-time customer data, choices and actions across channels, easily integrating with existing systems and user interfaces.

At the start of the year, Synchronoss partnered with TBCASoft to develop a cross-carrier blockchain platform for the telecoms industry. The news followed a payment service proof of concept between the two that was completed in 2018.

The partnership will see Synchronoss work with TBCASoft find ways to leverage Distributed Ledger Technology to remove middlemen parties typically found in other payment ecosystems to create improved services, according to Synschronoss.

In related news, in May Amazon Web Services announced the availability of Amazon Managed Blockchain, a managed service that simplifies the ability to create and manage scalable blockchain networks.

The new offering enables customers to allow various parties to carry out transactions and maintain a cryptographically verifiable record of them without the need for a trusted, central authority – enabling them to quickly setup a blockchain network with a few clicks inside the AWS management console.
