Infonas has announced that it will upgrade its regional network over the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) to support 100G wavelengths in order to meet increasing market demands.

“The Infonas network is powered by Ciena technology, which supports Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Optical Transport Network (OTN) services,” said Liam Hunt (pictured), director of global business at Infonas.

He added, that due to the increasing demand for high speed OTN services, Infonas have completed the full upgrade of the network to support the connectivity between the major landing stations within the regions.

In addition, Infonas connects its regional network to its nodes in London and Frankfurt through diverse low-latency routes to enable latency sensitive customers to reach Europe effectively.
