Alexandre Pébereau, whose Tofane Global last month completed purchase of iBasis from KPN, has announced his new management team.

Former iBasis CEO Feddo Hazewindus has decided not to join the expanded company, which also includes the former wholesale division of Altice Europe. But Capacity understands he will remain for a smooth handover, after which “he will pursue new opportunities”, said the company.

The company will make its first appearance to the wholesale industry this week at Capacity Middle East in Dubai, though the company was also present at Mobile World Congress (MWC) last week in Barcelona.

Alexandre Pébereau, group CEO, said: “We have an executive team and global commercial organisation led by first-class industry leaders, markets and solutions experts. All are aligned and ready to address our immediate objectives and long-term ambitions.”

As already reported in Capacity, Edwin van Ierland is chief commercial officer, leading an integrated voice and mobile sales organisation across the combined companies.

Within Van Ierland’s team, Franck Ravier will lead the Tofane global voice business and Mark Phimister remains responsible for the EMEA business, both voice and mobile. They “will work hand in hand through the integration”, said the company.

Patrick Meijer leads the Americas, with Cristhian Fuentes in Dominicana, and Asia-Pacific in the interim. Gilbert Relou will manage mobile business and Dhaval Jhaveri will continue managing retail business.

Patrick George will lead product and business development for voice, mobility, outsourcing, VAS solutions and new products. Nicolas Barret, former head of Altice International Carrier, will lead integration and partnerships, teaming up with Manuela Simoes.

Leading transformation projects across functions, Katherine Doe will also retain business operations responsibilities. Ajay Joseph remains chief technology officer and lead for internet of things (IoT) connectivity solutions.

Ardjan Konijnenberg will remain CFO, with Ellen Schmidt as general counsel and Mark Saponar as chief information officer. Céline Gregoire will lead global marketing communications.

Van Ierland said: “We have never been better positioned to leverage our common strengths and deliver on the requirements of our 1,000+ customers worldwide. All are focused on our top priority: enabling our customers to be first in their respective markets, first across the globe, and first to achieve transformation.”
