The news comes over six months after the company named Marc Hayden as its vice president of channels and partners back in June. Upon entering the role, Hayden has been leading Sigma’s channel and partners programme.
“I am pleased to welcome Faisal to the Sigma team,” said Simon Muderack, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Sigma Systems. “Sigma’s business continues to expand globally, enabling service providers to introduce new innovative services to the market more rapidly than ever. Faisal has extensive experience within the communications industry and is well positioned to support our existing customer base, drive new channel and partner business, and propel us forward.”
In his new role at Sigma Ishaq will drive Sigma’s global channels and partners program focusing on developing strategic partnerships and driving new business across Sigma’s Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as Asia-Pacific regions.
“Having worked within the technology and telco sectors for many years, I have come to recognise the potential for the right technology in the right space at the right time,” adds Ishaq. “Sigma has an excellent reputation with its award-winning create-sell-deliver software portfolio, which is facilitating the digital journey for communication service providers, Smart Cities, IoT companies and high-tech enterprises. I believe there is a great opportunity for Sigma’s technology within these sectors and I look forward to exploring these with the Sigma team as we go forward.”
Ishaq joins Sigma Systems from Sterlite Tech, a billing and revenue management solutions company. For them he held the position of regional sales head, Europe. In addition, he has also held several senior level positions in regional sales, technical sales and software architecture, with Ericsson, Amdocs and Aria over the span of a 20-year career.
