NTT Communications has partnered with collaboration services provider Arkadin to launch a new cloud-based unified communications solution aimed at supporting mid-market enterprises.

The NTT communications UC Connect platform will offer enterprises a collaboration solution combining software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) capabilities with UC technology.

The solution will serve as a unified communications as a service (UCaaS) platform solution provided by a single partner, delivering scale, speed and international reach by leveraging NTT Com’s global network.

The cloud-based offering enhances business collaboration through services including enterprise voice, team collaboration, video, conferencing, PSTN calling plans, a contact centre, intelligent bandwidth control and application performance and response times with application acceleration

Arkadin, which is also owned by the NTT Group, supports 42,000 customers across 30 countries. It offers a range of Unified Communications and audio, web and video collaboration solutions, as well as virtual events.

Andrew Pearce, Managing Director EMEA at Arkadin, said: “As modern businesses expand internationally, the demand for efficient cloud-based communication systems is growing stronger. We know that every successful Enterprise grade UC deployment requires an Enterprise-grade network and UC-Connect brings these crucial elements together to provide one design, implementation and support structure which addresses the need for better collaboration across the mid-market."

Commenting on the launch, Clive Hamilton, chief commercial officer at NTT Europe, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of the UC-Connect solution to provide multinational enterprises with the tools needed to drive collaboration in all corners of their business. With the scale and international reach of both Arkadin and NTT Communications, our solution opens the door to the level of global unified and intelligent communications now required to enable effective collaboration for organisations with an international footprint.”
