Cataleya, a provider of VoIP switching and analytics, is launching its Global Orchid Cloud Fabric in thirty data centre, across four continents.

The company completed the launch of its Orchid Cloud offering, a SBC/class 4 switching and wholesale voice business platform, earlier this year and is now pursuing a global cloud strategy. The news will enable Cataleya to activate nodes in these new locations within a matter of days.

‘This represents an entire new way of deploying global infrastructure; giving telecom operators the efficiency and agility they crave to better compete and innovate. We are initially focusing on our core voice solutions, but will soon support other communication services, such as messaging. We start by serving major economies and cities, with further expansion planned, this driven by our customers’ evolving requirements’, said Andreas Hipp (pictured), CEO Cataleya.

In addition to Cataleya being able to provide the SBC/class 4 switching and BSS functions within each node, it will also support tailored hosting and IP connectivity.

In addition to having expanded its global core node network to better meet customers’ regional needs, Cataleya’s hosted global services can now also meet GDPR requirements in Europe, as well as other regulatory guidelines in countries where data or Call Detail Record (CDR) processing must remain local.

Cateleya says that it is the only vendor, which enables customers, build their own tailor-made SBC, while benefiting from truly flexible business models, simplicity of integration and machine learning powered analytics.

Back in May, Cataleya partnered with Linxa to accelerate how service providers sell, deliver, manage and grow global voice solutions. The partnership enables service providers to seamlessly manage rating, routing, reporting, billing and switching of wholesale voice with new intelligence and flexibility.
