The Sphere, a blockchain-powered global ecosystem for the telecoms industry, has recently unveiled its core management team.

“We’re very familiar with the challenges that operators, carriers and resellers have been facing for far too long,” said Boaz Refaeli, VP operations and engineering for The Sphere. “We built The Sphere from the ground up to provide much-needed solutions, powered by next-gen technologies that will serve the wholesale telecom industry today and in the future.”

Yariv Trabelsi (pictured above centre) has been appointed as the company’s chief technology officer. Trabelsi is described as a leading expert in all things related to voice over IP (VoIP) and technology. He have over 15 years’ experience in the telecoms and technology sector, successfully designing and developing services supporting millions of customers around the world for industry leaders such as Skype, Vonage and Microsoft.

The company’s chief commercial officer has been named as John Tolton (pictured above right). Throughout his 20-year history of driving results for telecom companies such as Telarix, iBasis and Nextel International, Tolton has been successful in startups as well as the global carrier marketplace by introducing and leveraging new and disruptive technologies.

VP operations and engineering is Boaz Refaeli (pictured above left) )who is recognised for playing a key role in the VoIP market transition and deployment for carriers globally. In addition, he has pushed communication startups on to the Nasdaq, and led the Telefonica venture initiatives in providing advanced services worldwide.

Giacomo Vacca will assume the role of principal VoIP network architect and developer. Vacca has designed, developed and managed real-time communications infrastructure built on open source applications for almost 20 years. He has been heavily involved in leading fixed, mobile and WebRTC solutions for Truphone, Orange and Vonage (Nexmo).

Principal information system architect has been named as Brett Rosenblatt. He has served with a number of companies such as AT&T, C&W and Telefonica. For them he was responsible for designing software applications and data platforms, with focus on high-volume data design, modelling and intelligence systems.

Arik Halperin will serve as principal algorithm and system designer. With more than 20 years of experience solving complex challenges for IDF, Texas Instruments, Vodafone, MetaLink and other large organisations, Arik specialises in real-time, high-speed communication protocols and technologies.
