Medianova named in Gartner’s 2018 Market Guide for CDN Services report

Medianova has been named in Gartner’s 2018 Market Guide for CDN Services as a representative vendor among 18 other global Content delivery Network (CDN) vendors in the report.

Included in the report was the CDN market direction and forcasts, analysis, representative vendors and recommendations. Medianova’s geographic coverage and supported functions such as general web performance web application and API protection as well as video streaming workflow were among the reasons listed for its inclusion in the report.

The company says that it helps to create a ‘faster digital world with its platforms and services, and uses technologies like Dockerized CDN Platform, HTTP/2, BBR, Brotli, Image Optimization for faster content delivery and better digital experiences.

In total, Medianova has 32 data centres around the world and handles on average 8 billion images, 15 billion songs, 11 billion videos and many live event streams on a daily basis.

At the start of the year the company deployed Google's  new congestion control algorithm  called Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-Trip Propagation Time to its CDN. The feature alleviates or controls the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) traffic congestion, allowing users to speed their internet and start providing a better digital experience to its customers.
