InfoBip, a global communications provider, is launching WhatsApp Business, a new communications channel for its enterprise customers.

The new solution enables enterprise communications for WhatsApp which currently has 1.5 billion customers across 180 countries. The early access launch of the service, will gradually on-board businesses and financial institutions to WhatsApp through a review process that the company says "ensures quality and value" for both enterprise and its end users.

Infobip is enabling this communication in an efficient, convenient way of supporting enterprises to scale their communications, grow brand loyalty and fuel engagement so vital in today’s business world. Messaging channels are key to our clients’ engagement with customers, and with 60+ offices around the world, Infobip is well-equipped to on-board enterprises to one of the most widely used communications channels on earth," said Silvio Kutic, CEO of Infobip.

By using WhatsApp Business enterprises can expand their customer communications to WhatsApp and use things like: personalised dialogue and communications including media content, high-resolution images, text, file and document sharing.

In addition, medium to large sized businesses, once customers have decided to opt-in can use WhatsApp Business for a number of different customer-centric messages and inquiries including: booking confirmations, flight status updates, banking transaction alerts, bonus card status info, activation codes and payment reminders.

One of InfoBip’s customers, Cardekho, a Indian car portal which helps customers with things like: insurance, financing and car research, relies on mobile communications for engagement and dialogue with their customers.

Speaking on the impact this new service would have on the business, Amit Jain CEO of Cardekho, said: "Infobip enabling WhatsApp Business could help Cardekho in a prominent way. Earlier this year InfoBip partnered with Vodafone to launch Rich Communication Services (RCS) to enterprises.
