Transatel and Pure Cloud Solutions launch FMC MVNO solution

Transatel and Pure Cloud Solutions have partnered together to launch a fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) solution for MVNOs.

The new offering leverages Transatel's built-to-purpose technical architecture, Pure Cloud Solutions can now be address resellers and clients by providing plug-and-play capabilities.

The launch of the new solution has been set for March of this year at which point it will enable the quick and massive deployment of FMC offers in the channel, to address an ever-increasing demand from small and medium sized enterprises.

“With this project, we hope to demonstrate once again how we can bring innovation to a mature market. We're proud to have been selected by Pure Cloud Solutions to deliver the perfect technical solution and business model," said Philippe Vigneau, vice president of business development at Transatel.

The solution will be fully integrated at network level for both fixed and mobile components, and entirely cloud-based, so end customers won’t have to install or develop their own technical infrastructure. The offering is productised, white labelled, ready-to-use and fully integrated with operating support systems, business support systems and relevant apps.

The solution by Transatel and Pure Cloud Solutions is native and therefore offers the entire breadth of Unified Communications capabilities in comparison to other app-based FMC applications. These include bridging office phone services to mobile devices, using one phone number and one voice mailbox, extending the capabilities of a private branch exchange (PBX) to smartphones and featurephones and creating a virtual desk extension.

Describing the new product, Darren Lake, CEO and founder of Pure Cloud Solutions, said: "A turnkey FMC solution is a life saver for small businesses in situations we see daily. Business development, retail, logistics, countless activities and departments can increase productivity through communications. Our idea is to make it as marketable and easily implementable as possible."

Centile is a partner in the project with its ISTRA platform, delivering a comprehensive range of PBX features. The service runs across the EE network through a wholesale agreement with BT, ensuring that customers using the service will have access to the 4G data speeds and coverage that UK business customers require.

It's fantastic to see Transatel continue to innovate with the products and services they can offer their partners, said Nick Wootten, BT Wholesale MVNO client director. "Such products combined with access to the EE network will provide a unique customer experience for Transatel customers."

In February 2017, Transatel added 23 Caribbean islands to its roaming footprint as part of a deal with Digicel. Under the agreement customers using the France-based MVNO’s DataSIM will be able to access services across the islands in the French and Dutch West Indies.
