Type2Telecom unveils ‘world’s fastest’ service between Brazil and New York

Type2Telecom, the international facilities-based carrier, has launched what it claims is the world’s fastest network service between Sao Paulo, Brazil and metro markets in New York and New Jersey.

The new service offers -104ms latency on its point-to-point network, in addition to 10mbps to 100mbps with a 99.9% Service Level Availability (SLA).

Commenting on the launch of this new service, Joe Fitzgerald, founder and CEO of Type2Telecom, said: “This has been in development for a while now, and it was important for us to launch the service with proven capabilities and robust redundancy, not only on the subsea network portion but for our terrestrial connectivity as well.

"Our service guarantees are able to be measured in real-time through our Customer Portal, which offers service mapping and monitoring.”

As well as becoming the fastest connection between these two points, Type2Telecom is also the first provider to offer an SLA on the latency guarantee of less than 104ms, says the company.

Making it ideal for latency sensitive applications such as financial trading, video, gaming and other high-bandwidth services. Type2Telecom’s also has a unique pricing model of this network route which is the one price and one SLA guarantee for all its customers.
