Telia Carrier expands IP, wavelength and Ethernet services into Germany

Telia Carrier expands availability of IP, wavelength and Ethernet services in Germany through a new partnership with wholesale distributor Savecall.

The partnership will enable Savecall, one of Germany's top consultant and broker of ICT services with offices in Munich, Wiesbaden and Berlin, to act as a reseller of Telia Carrier's complete suite of IP, wavelength and Ethernet services.

"Savecall's expertise in the distribution of wholesale telecommunications service makes them the perfect partner for Telia Carrier," said Phuong Nguyen, channel and business development, Telia Carrier.

Savecall mediates provider-neutral services for IT and telecommunications companies, including: point-to-point Ethernet, leased line and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). The company offers customers risk and cost reduction through the standardisation of basic IT services coupled with virtualisation solutions.

Nguyen added: "This partnership is another step in our ongoing mission to onboard partners who are able to bring our exceptional global network services portfolio to customers beyond our direct sales channels.”

"At Savecall, one of our guiding principles is to rapidly deliver competitive and agile solutions to our customers," said Nikolaus von Johnston, general manager at Savecall. "Leveraging Telia Carrier's expertise in this market and superior customer service, our customers will benefit from the inclusion of Telia Carrier's top-ranked network services in our portfolio."

Last week, Telia Company announced a restructure of its business that will see wholesale arm Telia Carrier moved into its newly created Corporate Holdings division.
