Cross River Fiber boosts New York-New Jersey dark fibre

US operator Cross River Fiber is boosting its dark fibre capacity between New Jersey and New York with new packet and optical technology.

The company is also installing a carrier Ethernet platform to offer managed connectivity for carrier access and certain enterprise vertical sectors.

CEO Vincenzo Clemente said: “Our clients in every vertical – from healthcare to government, education, enterprise, and carrier – will enjoy connectivity that is second to none.” The company is using technology from Californian vendor MRV Communications.Scott St John, MRV’s senior vice president of global sales and service, said: “Cross River Fiber customers will now have access to sophisticated network solutions for interconnecting their data centres and enterprise locations, as well as for connecting with vital cloud providers, within the New Jersey and metropolitan NYC area.”
