The new PoP will enable TIC to support the increasing demand for IP services from Iran and its neighbouring countries, as well as accelerate the development of digital services in the country.
“It is our pleasure to have a partnership with TI Sparkle,” TIC said in a statement. “TIC is engaged in providing domestic and international telecommunications services to their customers in Iran and to further improve the services to their customers who are seeking high capacity in international connectivity.”
Seabone is TI Sparkle’s Tier-1 global IP transit backbone, ranking among leading IP networks in Europe and as number one in Latin America and the Mediterranean.
“We are very pleased with this partnership that combines TICS’s expertise in domestic and regional markets with TI Sparkle’s best in class global IP transit service,” said Alessandro Talotta, chairman and CEO at TI Sparkle.
“TI Sparkle’s Seabone provides high grades of reliability and guaranteed service level agreements to the large community of local service provdiers of the region and will improve the user experience of Iranian customers.”
In November last year, TI Sparkle expanded the network to Georgia with the launch of a PoP in the capital of Tbilisi.
Capacity's Iran Connect conference will be held in the country from September 6-7, 2016.
