CMC Networks selects NTT Communications for European IP transit

African operator CMC Networks has chosen NTT Communications for the delivery of IP transit services in Europe.

The agreement will provide CMC customers with greater connectivity options in Europe via NTT Comm’s Tier-1 global IP network.

“We are committed to meeting our customers’ demands for high-quality IP services and global access,” said Grant Walker, CEO at CMC Networks.

“NTT Comm’s extensive IP backbone and reliable connectivity solutions will allow our customers to interconnect seamlessly to our points of presence around the world.”

CMC allegedly operates the largest pan-African network spanning 50 countries, and also has an extensive presence in the Middle East and Asia via a number of partnerships.

“We are excited to provide CMC Networks with cost-effective IP solutions and support the company’s rapid growth in Europe and around the world,” said Clive Hamilton, VP of network services in EMEA at NTT Europe.

“This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the technical capabilities and worldwide reach of our global IP network, and answer CMC Networks’ demand for broader access to European markets.”

Earlier this month, NTT extended its IP network service reach in to Africa via a partnership with Workonline Communications.
