ZTE partners with China Mobile for NFV

ZTE has partnered with China Mobile for its Open network function virtualisation (NFV) Test lab, which aims to drive the global adoption and commercialisation of NFV technology.

The move forms part of ZTE’s ongoing focus on SDN and NFV technologies, with the vendor increasing its investment in research and development of NFV infrastructure and virtual data centres (VDC).

The China Mobile Open NFV Test Lab, which is run by the China Mobile Research Institute, has also partnered with integration vendors, IT software vendors and equipment vendors.

“ZTE is delighted to participate in the China Mobile Open NFV Test Lab, which will make a major contribution to the global adoption of software defined networking (SDN) and NFV technologies,” said Lv Abin, VP at ZTE.

“ZTE is committed to innovations in SDN and NFV solutions and values opportunities to deepen our collaboration with other leading developers and providers of the technologies.”
