IXcellerate launches peering point targeting Eurasia

Russian carrier-neutral data centre operator IXcellerate has launched an independent peering platform in Moscow.

Located at the company’s Moscow One Datacentre, ‘Eurasia:peering’ is a neutral layer-2 peering point aimed at connecting Russia with its neighbouring markets in Eurasia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia and China.

The peering point targets international players in Eurasia looking for a neutral internet exchange in the region, and offers private peering VLANs as well as multi-lateral peering arrangements.

“Based at IXcellerate’s new Moscow One Datacentre with access to over 20 telecoms operators, Eurasia:peering will be the newest peering point in Russia and a great solution for companies accessing the vast Russian Internet space opening up the largest Internet market in Europe by numbers of users,” said Guy Willner, CEO at IXcellerate.
