The extension will see Huawei deliver managed services across the operator’s network in the capital of Abuja and surrounding federal territory, and is designed to improve network quality and enhance customer experience.
Airtel and Huawei share a long-standing relationship and today’s extension builds on this and will see the Chinese vendor support Airtel in achieving its business objectives.
Huawei first partnered with Airtel Nigeria in 2011, and provides managed services on its 2G and 3G mobile networks, microwave transmission networks and core networks, across 60% of the country.
