Deutsche Telekom to sell internet portal
Deutsche Telekom is in early discussions with publisher Axel Springer over the potential sale of its internet portal, T-Online, according to local reports.
The German operator has allegedly not decided whether it will sell all or parts of T-Online, with sources saying that it may retain the unit of the business that offers email accounts.
A successful deal would combine Germany’s number one and number three online portals, T-Online and Springer’s Bild.de, respectively.
The talks are also thought to include Deutsche Telekom’s Interactive Media, which markets other online portals.
