Indosat launches 4G services

Ooredoo subsidiary Indosat has launched 4G services in Indonesia, claiming to offer speeds of up to 185Mbps.

The move marks the completion of its network modernisation programme, with the service being offered in 23 cities nationwide.

“This development allows Indonesians to enjoy the very latest telecommunication technology available in the world, providing the fastest speeds and stable data service to support all types of communication activities with increased ease, pace and convenience”, said Alexander Rusli, CEO of Indosat.

Ooredoo also operates LTE services in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and the Maldives.
