The Chinese vendor believes this to be three times faster than existing VDSL2 vectoring technology.
SuperVector is said to extend the frequency band from 17MHZ to 35MHZ, and uses the same DMT modulation and tone as VDSL2 Vectoring to ensure the system is backward compatible. The prototype is also compatible with VDSL2 vectoring terminals.
The vendor claims that SuperVector will help operators deliver faster broadband services and could prove useful for long-distance copper broadband coverage in rural areas.
