GTSA signs media partnership with Tata

Costa Rica-based Grupo Tecnológico (GTSA) has announced that it has signed a regional sales and representation partnership agreement with Tata Communications.

GTSA said it plans to introduce new carrier and media services, in addition to IP distribution capacity into the deregulated Costa Rica telecoms market.

The company said it will further expand into the region with new bundled offerings to telecoms operators and corporate and government customers.

The partnership between Tata and GTSA is the most recent in a series of agreements the Costa Rican company has made with technology players including Microsoft and Safety Tracker Software.

GTSA will now provide a full spectrum of IT technology solutions and telecoms and media services that are not presently available in the Central American market, according to Jorge Jiménez, EVP of GTSA.

“This partnership with GTSA will allow us to establish a permanent presence in the Central American region to provide value added services to institutional customers in this growing market,” added Ruby deBruyn, senior manager of media and entertainment services at Tata Communications.
