Vodafone Egypt and Ericsson sign managed services contract

Vodafone Egypt and vendor Ericsson have announced a three-year managed services agreement.

Ericsson will deliver network field maintenance services and improve the operator’s quality of network in the greater Cairo area.

Vodafone Egypt has 36.3 million customers and it is the first time the company has outsourced its network field services to enhance the quality of its network to bring the latest services to Vodafone subscribers.

“Ericsson has proved to be a steadfast partner throughout our years of partnership,” said Osama Said, CTO at Vodafone Egypt. “With this agreement, we aim to achieve world-class network quality with the most innovative solutions that best serve our customers’ needs.”

Ericsson claims to have more managed service deals in comparison with rival Nokia Networks, with 300 managed services contracts in over 100 countries.
