Global Capacity and PEG Bandwidth partner for US connectivity

Global Capacity has signed a wholesale agreement with PEG Bandwidth for the delivery of enhanced connectivity to markets in the US.

Ethernet backhaul network provider PEG Bandwidth now has access to Global Capacity’s One Marketplace via bilateral interconnects in New York, Ashburn, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Dallas.

Global Capacity will benefit from additional Ethernet-over-fibre network access from PEG Bandwidth’s 15,000 route miles in rural markets across the north east, mid-Atlantic, midwest and south central regions of the US.

“Telecoms competition is increasing in rural areas; local network operators need to come together with other local providers to gain a competitive advantage against larger players in the global marketplace,” said Ben Edmond, CRO at Global Capacity.

Global Capacity’s One Marketplace provides network solutions for customers, combining an interconnected network aggregation platform with a cloud application to allow for automated design, pricing delivery and maintenance of network solutions.

In January this year PEG Bandwidth selected French vendor Alcatel-Lucent for the delivery of its IP backhaul solution.
