Spectralink and Cisco partner to make solutions interoperable

Network equipment vendor Cisco and wireless solutions provider Spectralink have completed interoperability verification testing.

The two companies can now collaborate to tailor their offerings to joint customers by providing complementary products that work together.

Spectralink provides in-building wireless solutions based on DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology) which it has integrated with Cisco’s unified communications manager to provide mobile communications for specialised working environments.

“At Spectralink we are committed to providing customers with in-building solutions that work with a wide range of market leading unified communications (UC) systems, and therefore we’re excited to complete interoperability verification testing with Cisco,” said Sten Dyrmose, CEO at Spectralink.

“Many businesses, both large and small are looking to Cisco as an integral part of their UC roadmap and it’s essential that our products can support that move.”

In March this year, Cisco announced plans to launch a cloud computing service, to be called Cisco Cloud Services.
