Otto Pineda, CEO at Tigo Honduras told reporters the company will use the investment to upgrade its network infrastructure in the country.
The company has already invested an estimated $40 million in its network in the first four months of 2014, and plans to launch 4G LTE services in Q3 this year.
Pineda also expects to reach five million subscribers by June 2014, following the launch of mobile number portability (MNP) services last month, which the company has already invested $2 million in.
Tigo launched 4G services in Colombia in December last year.
