Orange signs deal with Haier for IaaS services

Orange Business Service has signed a 3-year contract with China-based consumer company Haier to implement Orange’s infrastructure as a service platform.

The deal will see Orange deploy cloud computing solution Flexible Computing Premium which will allow Haier’s headquarters in China to connect with its after-sale service centre in India over a cloud-based platform.

“Chinese as well as Asian multinationals are realising the value of cloud. We are delighted to support Haier, one of the world’s most innovative companies, with our industry-leading cloud solution and our expertise as a global IT services provider,” said Patrick Li, general manager of China Orange Business Services.

In March, Orange Business Services and e-payment technology vendor SIA signed an agreement that will allow payments to be made via mobile point of sale (PoS) terminals.
