Orixcom launches IaaS platform

Network and cloud platform provider Orixcom has launched wholesale infrastructure as a service (IaaS) from its cloud platform in the UAE at Capacity Middle East 2014.

The move is designed to enable operators, service providers and system integrators to offer cloud based subscription services using direct sales or channel enablement.

The service also allows public, private and hybrid clouds to integrate on existing systems, and the company claims the infrastructure is a low risk proposition for international and regional operators that are looking to deploy and manage infrastructure in the MEA region.

“Operators and system integrators have access to a world class scalable service allowing them to tap into the fastest growing cloud markets in the region. They can efficiently orchestrate their cloud offerings across infrastructure and locations, create packages and bill customers with a usage based model,” said Andrew Grenville, CEO of Orixcom.

“Over the past few months we have worked hard to develop, build and now launch this platform, the most advanced in the Middle East, and are very excited about the enthusiastic reception and feedback we are getting from the early adopters testing it out.”

Orixcom said the wholesale platform also allows for white labelled and branded cloud services, with a user-friendly and customisable panel.

The company was founded by Andrew Grenville, du's former EVP for investments (special projects) and launched at Capacity Middle East last year.
