Citadel100 joins METRO2C Alliance

Irish data centre provider Citadel100 has joined the METRO2C Alliance, a group of European data centre operators, internet exchanges and connectivity providers designed to support the new wave of online media companies investing in Ireland.

Citadel100 is part of the Keppel Group’s Securus Data Centre Property Fund, which owns data centres in Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Established over 12 years ago, the company owns and operates a 65,000 square foot facility in Dublin, serving a range of enterprise, technology and content provider customers.

The METRO2C Alliance was founded by subsea cable operator Sea Fibre Networks in May this year and its members include Interxion Ireland, Kcom and SEE Telecoms.

“The addition of Citadel100 to the METRO2C Alliance provides an increasing amount of enterprises with access to critical infrastructure that is necessary to support the move from legacy IT systems to modern, cloud-based applications,” said Diane Hodnett, CEO of Sea Fibre Networks.
