SingTel and Optus Business extend telecoms contract with ANZ

SingTel and Optus Business today announced a A$530 million (US$493 million) contract with the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), to provide telecommunications and managed services for another five years.

SingTel’s extensive network reach and capability enables ANZ to deliver end-to-end managed telecommunications services across the Australia and Asia-Pacific regions.

“[The deal] demonstrates the ability of SingTel and Optus Business to support our customer’s growth ambitions, not just locally but globally,” said Chua Sock Koong, CEO at SingTel Group.

Under terms of the agreement, SingTel will facilitate both domestic and international data network services, as well as mobility, collaboration and managed services for ANZ’s business operations.

“The services provided by SingTel and Optus Business underpin the connectivity of our business and the delivery of services to our customers in Australia, Asia and the Pacific,” said Mike Smith, CEO at ANZ.

“This agreement represents ANZ’s largest managed services relationship and we are very pleased to continue our partnership with SingTel for a further five years.”

Earlier this month, SingTel announced plans to enhance its fibre broadband for SME customers in Singapore.
