ITC and PCCW Global pen interconnection deal

Saudi Arabia’s Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) has signed an inter-carrier interconnection agreement with Hong Kong-based voice and data provider PCCW Global.

The deal is expected to enable ITC to offer IPLC and MPLS services across Africa and the Middle East, and the company has future plans to roll out managed and content services, amongst others, with PCCW.

“Partnerships with global industry leaders like PCCW Global [are] a key step for our growth and an important part of our commitment to provide superior connectivity solutions for enterprise and government projects with the added capacity for global expansion,” said Georges Jaber, VP of wholesale, business sales and solutions at ITC.

ITC has a 17,000km national fibre network, and the connectivity agreement with PCCW is expected to expand ITC’s network internationally.

In March this year PCCW Global signed a partnership with Etisalat in the Middle East for MPLS and Ethernet services in the region.
