Peter Kelly, whose last five years were spent at Vodafone spearheading the transformation of their enterprise division, will enter his new role in September 2013.
Kelly will report directly to chief executive of Virgin Media, Tom Mockridge, who said of the appointment: “Peter’s a very welcome addition to our executive team as Virgin Media Business has an important part to play in the growth of Virgin Media. Despite the economic challenges currently facing our public sector and private enterprise customers, the business-to-business market offers big long term opportunities for us.”
The news comes three weeks after Virgin Media Business signed a 10-year deal with Telefónica UKfor increased data speeds for customers of the company's mobile arm, O2.
