In addition to a PR campaign, Telus is seeking a judicial review in Ottawa against plans by the Conservative Party that will limit market dominance, Reuters reports.
It is said that legal experts are sceptical on the results, disbelieving that a judicial review will be successful or deter the government.
Reuters cites a lawyer specialising in the telecom policy: “I assume TELUS thinks they can win this case, but I think this is going to be a very tough case for them to win. I don't see this case as being much of a game changer.”
In June, the Canadian government blocked a TELUS bid of $370 million to takeover Mobilicity.
