DiViNetworks partners with Sandvine for traffic management service

Data capacity provider DiViNetworks has partnered with Sandvine to deliver its Traffic Management Cloud service.

The service is designed to provide ISPs with network policy control functions, eliminating the need to deploy a dedicated system in their own network.

The company claims it is the first to provide such a service in the market.

Yair Shapira, VP of marketing and business developments at DiViNetworks, told Capacity Daily that it hopes to update existing traffic management procedures.

“The present way is too expensive and cumbersome for many ISPs, and the worst thing is that it stops the traffic after it arrives. It’s like having passport control in Manhattan instead of in the airport,” he said.

Several ISPs are reportedly already deploying the service in the Latin American and African regions, and Shapira hopes the service will manage network congestion and ensure a high quality experience for its customers.

“Traffic Management in the cloud is actually our customers’ innovation and Sandvine is the perfect partner for such ventures,” Shapira said.

“Our ISP customers are requesting to apply more and more functions on their traffic as part of our service and we intend to launch additional intelligent services.”
