Terremark expands cloud capabilities

Verizon-owned cloud and data centre provider Terremark has expanded capabilities of its services in Dallas and London.

The upgrades have been made to meet growing demands from business customers for cloud-based services in various geographies. Terremark will now offer federal-grade security controls for all commercial customers.

According to the company, customers will be able to access advanced security technologies, including multi-factor authentication in addition to enterprise class services.

The company operates enterprise cloud data centres in Amsterdam and across the Netherlands, with its new UK data centre providing an additional option for disaster recovery.

The cloud enhancement means enterprises will be able to address the need for hybrid cloud environments with the additional benefits of compute and storage applications.

Private companies and governmental agencies will have “greater flexibility and control over migration to and from cloud environments and traditional computing environments without modifying workloads and applications”, said Verizon.
