Ortel Mobile Switzerland provides mobile services under the Ortel Mobile brand, and provides ‘virtual’ network services.
It has offices in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Spain, and customers will not be affected by the sale.
KPN said it is disposing of the unit to allow Ortel to refocus the alignment of Ortel Mobile with its core markets, and it confirmed it is exploring options for its other Ortel Mobile branded operations.
Reuters confirmed the deal is already closed.
