NTT DoCoMo to create Singapore subsidiary

NTT DoCoMo will establish a subsidiary in Singapore to provide services to Japanese customers in the municipality.

DoCoMo Singapore will be established on December 1 2012 and begin offering Japanese language support, as well as communications services from January 1, 2013.

The company will be a sales agent of Singapore’s second largest operator StarHub and support Japanese speakers with the sale of mobile phones, cable TV and broadband internet.

It will provide advice in Japanese regarding billing plans, handset use and registration processes.

Local Japanese businesses will also be supported with services including consultation on billing and international roaming via the Conexus Mobile Alliance.

DoCoMo Singapore will also operate a support desk to advise Japanese travelers on using mobile communications outside of Japan.
