The deal will allow customers to pay for goods and services at the point of sale from next year.
Vodafone will utilise CorFire’s CorPay solution for both NFC and non-NFC payments options as well as the encryption and storage of personal account information.

The potential of mobile to transform existing industries – such as financial services, retail and transport is enormous,” said Christian Wirtz, Vodafone Group’s mCommerce director.
Jae Chung, CorFire’s president and CEO, said that the size of Vodafone’s customer base could make the partnership one of the biggest implementations of NFC and mobile commerce in the world.
