Jean-Yves Charlier has been appointed as SVP of telecoms activities at Vivendi, beginning in October.
The move will see Charlier leave his roles as member of Vivendi’s supervisory board and chairman of the group’s strategic committee.
Charlier has served as CEO of Promethean since 2007. Before this he served as VP of Fidelity International and was appointed chairman and CEO of Colt Telecom Group, responsible for restructuring the business.
Other roles include management of BT’s European operations within the Global Services division in 2002, and president of Equant group for integration services and then worldwide group marketing, sales and services operations in 1996.
