Level 3 connects to London data centre

Level 3 has announced a connection into a newly refurbished London data centre to enable fast connectivity for small and medium businesses.

The development enables London Data Exchange (LDeX) customers the ability to connect to Level 3’s network spanning over 45 countries and 450 cities worldwide. The facility it said to be focused specifically on the SME sector, to provide fibre based connectivity across the world.

Connectivity into London offers enterprises access to critical data according to Level 3, and the point of direct access at LDeX offers customers a platform to build on data centre connectivity across global and European markets.

"The Level 3 global network enables an increasing number of businesses in a wide range of sectors to connect to a secure and highly reliable network with local, national and global reach," said James Heard, Level 3 regional president of EMEA. "Every company's connectivity needs are different, and we are dedicated in our aim to meeting those diverse needs with a robust global network infrastructure."

Rob Garbutt, CEO at LDeX believes connecting to Level 3’s network will bring significant benefits to customers connected to the London facility. “Our enterprise customers at our advanced data centre depend on us to provide robust, secure access to the markets they need to reach, and at the same time, provide reliable access to their own critical data at the facility.”
