ViaSat CFO Ronald Wangerin resigns

US satellite and wireless provider ViaSat has begun the search for a new CFO after announcing today that Ronald Wangerin has resigned from his position to pursue “other opportunities” outside of the company.

The provider expects to conclude the search quickly and efficiently and Wangerin will continue to be a ViaSat employee until December 17 to facilitate an orderly transition of his responsibilities.

"Ron has played a significant role at ViaSat, and we are grateful for his contributions as CFO and in positioning the company to take advantage of new opportunities," said Mark Dankberg, CEO at ViaSat.

In the short term, management of the finance team will be lead by Shawn Duffy, ViaSat’s VP, corporate controller and chief accounting officer, who will take the role on interim CFO.
