CenturyLink extends Charlotte fibre network

CenturyLink has extended its fibre network in Charlotte, North Carolina in the US, into five data centre facilities to provide high-speed access to cloud-based services.

The fibre provider’s Charlotte fibre ring network, is designed to address increased bandwidth demand with customisable data networking solutions, including scalable internet connectivity, private IP-based VPN and optical wavelength services.

"CenturyLink's data networking products, combined with reliable connectivity to our nationwide, next-generation network and secure access into data centres, will help businesses in Charlotte develop and launch cloud-based offerings needed in today's fast-paced business environment," said Richard Twilley, VP of sales at CenturyLink.
