Jean-Bernard Lévy, SFR

   

 

Jean-Bernard Lévy has been appointed as CEO of French telecoms group SFR. Lévy is CEO of Vivendi, SFR’s parent company, and takes over from Frank Esser who has stepped down after 10 years of service.

Lévy joined Vivendi as CEO in August 2002, and has been chairman of the management board since April 2005.

He began his career as an engineer at France Telecom before joining Matra Marconi Space as general manager, communications satellites. In 1988, Lévy acted as a technical adviser to Gérard Longuet, French minister for postal and telecoms services. He subsequently became chief of staff for Longuet.
