Verizon creates enterprise operation

Verizon has announced the creation of a global organisation to oversee all business, government and wholesale operations from across the company’s mobile and wireline businesses.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions will be lead by Verizon EVP and COO John Stratton who will take the position of president. He will lead an executive team including Verizon Business president Bob Toohey as COO, Verizon CIO Ajay Waghray as CIO and Verizon Terremark IT group president Kerry Bailey as CMO.

The company will offer Verizon’s full portfolio of enterprise mobility, cloud and IT, strategic networking and advanced communications offerings. In addition the company will offer specialized solutions for select industries, including health care and financial services and Verizon’s full range of wholesale solutions.

“We know that the intersection of mobility, cloud computing and security will drive a revolution in enterprise IT over the next ten years. This change will allow us to leverage all of our technology assets to take advantage of growth opportunities around the world,” said Lowell McAdam, Verizon president and CEO.
