Telx partners with Colocation America

US data centre provider Telx has entered into a non-exclusive channel partnership with Colocation America, a data centre operator on the west coast for the company to interconnect with any of Telx’s carrier neutral facilities.

Under the agreement, Telx has partnered with Colocation America, which will allow its customers carrier-neutral connectivity and collocation in Telx’s neutral data centres in eight US states. Albert Ahdoot, business development director at Colocation America believes a direct connection with Telx’s 950 carrier, ISPs, media, content and enterprise companies that sit within its ecosystem is a main advantage of the partnership.

He said: “We see great value in the fact that Telx is carrier-neutral, allowing our customers in North America to expand beyond their presence to other key cities. Colocation America is proud to be a channel partner with Telx, one of the fastest growing interconnection and collocation companies in the US today.”

Telx said the partnership is also channel neutral, which eliminates the chance of overlapping with other channel partners, and thus promoting a stronger collaborative relationship between the companies.

“This powerful new alliance will help us grow our interconnection and collocation customer base nationwide, while helping Colocation America provide the most choice in connectivity to their customers who are looking to expand their presence in other cities, including New York City, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Dallas, said Kirk Horton, VP of Channels at Telx.

“This channel partnership will give Colocation America agents a competitive edge as they seek rapid market entry in key US markets, giving their business communications customers the ability to choose from literally hundreds of providers while keeping connectivity low.”
