Sinch’s SMS technology, which many IoT devices will depend on, will continue to support person to person as well as application to person messaging and will extend further to support new use cases,
Ericsson’s Messaging in One (MiO) portfolio already uses Sinch to deliver messaging products to 20 mobile operating customers across the world.

Sinch has proven that they can meet Ericsson’s stringent requirements and fulfill the high expectations of Ericsson’s customers”, said Nils Viklund, head of solution area packet core at Ericsson.
The first deliveries of the Sinch SMSF as part of Ericsson’s core network are expected to take place during 2020.
