Bell Canada’s all-fibre network is to reach 1.3 million homes and businesses in the Greater Toronto area, stretching to the US border, the company has announced.
"Bell began the $1.5 billion Toronto project in 2015 and
worked closely with the city and utility companies to roll out
the network as efficiently and quickly as possible," said Ivan
Mihaljevic, president of BCE Nexxia and head of Bell Canada
"Bell invests more in its broadband networks and services
than any other communications company in Canada," said
Mihaljevic. "Today we offer the most direct
fibre-to-the-premises connections in Canada, plus links to 28
Bell Canada data centres in Canada and 14 meet-me points in the
US and beyond."
