Telin launches data centre in Hong Kong

Telekomunikasi Indonesia International, a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International, has just launched a data centre in Hong Kong.

The neuCentrIX HK-1 is located at Itech Tower 2, and was opened during a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Abdus Somad Arief, director of carrier & international business at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International and Faizal Djoemadi CEO of Telin.

Speaking at the opening, Djoemadi said: "We established neuCentrIX with such designed capacity to provide colocation and hosting services to small and big enterprises in APAC and Greater China regions. This data centre will also provide other value-added services such as inter-rack cabling, smart hand, storage space, meeting room and remote peering over Telin's point of presence." 

neuCentrIX HK-1 is now commercially available and ready to provide carrier neutral connectivity and multiple services within its ecosystem, with the addition of large-scale advantages through use of its global network.

The facility is equipped with 600-800 kVA with 200 racks, and is connected to expansive ecosystem in MEGA-I and Equinix. Additionally, neuCentrIX HK-1 connects to various submarine cable systems and points of presence (PoPs) to support the needs of its customers and their demands for global connectivity and the security that comes with the high priority of assets.

The neuCentrIX HK-1 is Telin’s most recent project and adds to its existing portfolio of data centres which include site in Changi and Jurong as well as other neuCentrIX facilities in Jakarta, Medan, Bandung, Surabaya, Batam, Balikpapan, Jogja, Denpasar, Manado and Makassar. All of these data centres are interconnected with total 4167 square meters with tier-2 and tier-3 availability.

Aside from traditional data centre services neuCentrIX HK-1 will offer highly competitive and custom-made solutions to clients. Enterprises for example depend on neuCentrIX to deliver such services as: colocation, IP transit, direct internet access, content delivery network, cloud services, inter-rack connection, smart hand and storage space provisioning.
