365 Data Centers appoints new director of business development

365 Data Centers has named Robert Allison as its new director of business development based in the company’s Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale, Florida offices.

In this new role Allison will act as the primary point of contact for businesses in South Florida needing 365’s cloud, colocation, network, business continuity and virtual managed services product offerings.

Commenting on Allison’s appointment, Bob DeSantis, chief executive officer of 365 Data Centers, said: “Robert Allison brings an incredible amount of expertise to 365’s client base in South Florida to assist them in identifying and solving their hybrid data centre service requirements. Allison enters the role as a 25-year veteran of the communications and technology industries particularly in the areas of colocation, cloud, network and managed services. Before joining 365 Data Centers he served in senior sales and business development leadership roles at Peak 10 which is now Flexential, Telx which is now Digital Realty and Cogent Communications.

“The South Florida market poses unique opportunities and challenges. I have been working with South Florida business leaders for over a decade and understand the intricacies of operating businesses in this part of the country. I look forward to lending my expertise in creating the best colocation, network, cloud, business continuity and IT solutions for 365’s clients,” added Allison.

In addition to Allison’s news, 365 Data Centers also recently announced the appointment of Jeff Slapp as the company’s vice president of cloud services & support. In his new role Slapp will lead 365 Data Centers’ newly created cloud and virtual managed services product offerings.

Slapp has over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry particularly in server and storage virtualisation, high-performance and high-availability design and software-defined enterprise architectures. As well as this, Slapp comes from a software development background with specific emphasis on user-interface design, third-party integration and system automation.

“Jeff Slapp will accelerate the advancement of our DRaaS, BackUp and Cloud compute and storage service offerings, and the roll out of these services into all of our markets by working directly with our sales team and existing and prospective 365 customers,” said DeSantis. “Our commitment to each of our virtual service customers is to deliver an on premise experience consistent with our ‘Technology Humanized’ approach to service delivery. Prior to joining 365 Data Centers, Slapp worked in virtual systems engineering and sales engineering leadership roles at companies such as: Iron Mountain, Citrix Systems, Host.net and DataCore Software, in addition he has also owned and operated a cloud and managed services business.
