Infomart Data Centers sells three data centres and management company to IPI Partners

Infomart Data Centers has announced that it is selling three of its data centres and its management company to IPI Data Center Partners Management (IPI Partners).

The deal has been struck by ASB Real Estate Investments (ASB) for an undisclosed amount and Infomart’s San Jose, California; Hillsboro, Oregon; and Ashburn, Virginia are the three facilities to be sold. The sites have a combined total of 665,000 sqft with 27.2 megawatts of total in-place capacity and 29.7 megawatts of additional expansion potential.

Infomart says that it has attracted a blue-chip list of global technology and enterprise tenants across its portfolio and that, the new investment sponsorship supports the company’s long-term growth, operations and partnership with existing and prospective tenants.

IPI Partners is an investor in data centres and other technology and connectivity-related real assets.

Back in February ASB sold Infomart Dallas to Equinix for $800 million debt and cash deal. Speaking at the time, Karl Strohmeyer, Americas president at Equinix, said: "As Dallas becomes an increasingly strategic North American interconnection hub for businesses making the shift to digital, the acquisition of the Infomart will enable existing and new customers to scale their operations with Equinix.”

The same month, Opus Interactive, a provider of cloud hosting solutions, completed its 90kW expansion of its footprint within Infomart Data Centers’ facility in Portland, Oregon. At the time, John Sheputis, president of Infomart Data Centers, said: “Opus Interactive’s latest expansion within Infomart Portland is a testament to Infomart’s service mindset as well as the region’s continued growth, largely thanks to its renewable and cost-effective power access, tax incentives, technical workforce, and ascending position as the new 'digital gateway’ to Asia Pacific.
